IN SEPTEMBER, I WAS FORTUNATE TO PARTICIPATE in an amazing bike trip through the Bordeaux region of France. Before we started our adventure, my wife Carole and I took a quick two-day trip to Paris to visit one of my favorite iconic places: the famous pyramid entrance to the Louvre. The now famous illustration of the pyramid was created by acclaimed architectural illustrator Paul Stevenson (Steve) Oles. My visit to the pyramid took on a new meaning because Steve Oles also created an award-winning drawing of our new veranda. And, on October 26, 2023, we were proud to dedicate the new veranda to Suzanne and Buck Frederick. (See pages 3-5.)
