Doox of Yale, an all-gender tenor/bass acapella group from Yale University founded in 1952.  Across their seventy year history, they’ve sung across the world—from Drew Barrymore’s birthday party in New York City to Kylemore Abbey in Ireland, from the Steinway Club of Puerto Rico to the White House.

In 2017, they became the first all-gender tenor/bass a cappella group at Yale. They then adapted their longstanding nickname — “Doox” — to better reflect the new composition of the group. Over the past 70 years, Doox has grown from a young quartet into a rambunctious and incredibly close family of more than 400 singers. They have won an ICCA Outstanding Arrangement award and have been featured by NPR, the Smithsonian, and our moms’ Facebook pages. Over the years, they have sung across genre and time period, guaranteeing that there’s something in Doox’s repertoire for everyone—from Journey to Lizzy McAlpine, Simon & Garfunkel to Sam Cooke, Beyonce to Billy Joel.
