Officer Rosenbaum, the Elder Affairs Officer for the city of Newton, will talk about how to avoid becoming a victim of a scam. He will cover topics like recognizing scams, protecting yourself from fraud, steps you can take if you become a victim, and resources and referrals.

Scandinavian Film: "Dog Nail Clipper" 2004
A beautifully photographed film of Finland’s trees and winter. This warm and thought provoking story presents a different view of war and what are important values in life. 105 minutes.
The library and the Kaffastugen (for lunch) will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday. Refreshments for the film will be served at 1:00 pm. Movie starts at 1:30 p.m. Admission, refreshments, and parking are free. Donations are accepted. The SLC is handicapped accessible. Ice Cream Social with Caricature Artist and Face Painting
This years Ice Cream Social will feature caricatures by Ash Jackson. We will also have face painting and all of the ice cream you can eat. Bring your friends, family and children. This event is free for all and will take place rain or shine.
