About Us

The Scandinavian Charitable Society of Greater Boston created the Scandinavian Living Center to emulate the best in the Scandinavian model of older adult living. The philosophy was to promote the development of a small community with large common areas.

Our Center, with its forty apartments and a variety of open spaces, promotes an intimate family–like atmosphere unusual in larger facilities. More than fifty percent of our space is dedicated to common area use that enhances the collective well-being of our community of residents, families, board members, staff, neighbors and friends.
